Land clean-up for overgrown lots and fields

Land that has sat for years fills up with brush, fallen limbs, old fencing and junk. We clear it out so you can see what you have and put it to use.

What the work is

Land clean-up is clearing the ground of what has built up on it: thick brush, saplings, fallen limbs, old wire fencing, scrap, and piles left by past owners. We push it into piles where you want them so the ground is open again.

If material needs to leave the property, we talk about that at the site visit. If the lot is mostly tall grass and weeds, bush hogging may be all it needs.

When you need it

  • You bought land that has been sitting and you want to see what you have.
  • You are getting a lot ready to build on, or to sell.
  • An old homeplace or farm field has grown up and you want it back.
  • Brush and junk along a fence line or creek has gotten out of hand.

East Tennessee land

Overgrown ground in East Tennessee grows back fast. Privet, briars and saplings take over a field in a few years. Sloped lots and wet bottoms are common, and red clay turns slick after a rain, so we plan the work around the ground and the weather.

Old properties often have surprises under the brush: wire, stumps, stone, old foundations and buried junk. We walk it first so the number we give you fits what is really there.

How we do it

Call or send the form and tell us roughly how much land and what is on it. We come out and walk it with you, agree on what stays and what goes, and give you a straight number in writing. Our crew brings the Caterpillar 265 skid steer and, where it helps, the Caterpillar 305 mini excavator.

What affects the price

  • How much land and how thick the growth is.
  • What is mixed in: wire, scrap, old structures.
  • Slope, wet ground and access for the machines.
  • Where the piles go and whether anything has to leave the property.

What the job covers

  • Walking the land with you first
  • Clearing brush, saplings and fallen limbs
  • Pulling out old fencing, wire and scrap
  • Piling material where you want it on the property
  • Leaving the ground open and usable
  • A straight written number

Common questions

Do you cut down trees?

No. We clear brush, saplings, limbs and debris. Large trees that need to come down are a job for a tree service.

Do you haul everything off?

We pile material where you want it on the property. If some of it needs to leave, we talk about that at the site visit.

What is the difference between land clean-up and bush hogging?

Bush hogging cuts tall grass, weeds and light brush. Land clean-up is for thicker brush, saplings, limbs and junk that a mower cannot handle. Many lots need some of both.

Do you work in all six counties?

Yes. We work across Knox, Blount, Loudon, Sevier, Anderson and Roane counties, from Knoxville and Powell to Maryville, Sevierville, Oak Ridge and Lenoir City.
