Excavation and land work in Clinton

Clinton is the county seat of Anderson County, on the Clinch River with Norris Lake to the north. Around town you find older homes, newer houses and a lot of rural land. We do bush hogging, land clean-up, drainage, footers and driveway work here.

River town ground

The Clinch River runs right through Clinton. Low ground near the river and the creeks that feed it can stay wet, and older homes in low spots often have water problems that drainage work can fix. Higher up, the land is ridges and hollows on red clay, with limestone and shallow rock in places.

Rural land and pasture

Much of Anderson County outside town is rural. Pasture that has not been cut in a few years fills in fast with tall weeds, briars and saplings. Bush hogging brings it back, and land clean-up takes care of old fencing, junk piles and debris so the land is usable again.

Rural tracts also tend to have long gravel drives and farm roads that rut and wash out. We regrade them, fix low spots and get water off the surface. If you are getting ready to build on acreage, we can take it from overgrown field to a prepped site ready for footers.

Near Norris Lake

Norris Lake is a short drive north of town, and many people build or keep cabins on lots around it. Those lots are often steep and rocky with tight access. We look at the road in, the slope and the ground before we quote. Work close to the shoreline can fall under Tennessee Valley Authority rules, so check first.

Permits in Clinton and Anderson County

Inside city limits, check with the City of Clinton. Outside the city, check with Anderson County. Call Tennessee 811 before any digging, even on a farm.

Common questions

How big a field can you bush hog?

We do small lots and larger fields. Price depends on the size, how thick the growth is and how rough the ground is. We walk it first so the number fits the job.

Do I need to call 811 on my own farm?

Yes. Tennessee 811 is free and marks public utility lines, even on private land. It does not mark private lines like a well line or a line to a barn, so tell us where those run.
