Demolition and clean-up in Knoxville and East Tennessee
We tear down old sheds, small structures and outbuildings that have to go, then clean up the site so the ground is ready for what comes next.
Call (865) 346-6688What we tear down
Most of our demolition work is the kind of job that sits on a lot for years because nobody gets to it: a falling-down shed, an old barn or outbuilding, a carport, a small structure that is past saving. We take it down with our own machines and clean up the area after.
Larger demolition is a different job. If you have a bigger building, tell us about it and we will talk it through at the site visit.
When you need it
- An old shed or outbuilding is rotting, leaning or unsafe.
- You want the spot back for a new building, garden or yard.
- You bought property with structures you do not want.
- You are getting a lot ready to build or sell.
How we do it
We come out and walk the property with you. We look at the structure, what it is made of, what is around it and how we will get machines to it. Then you get a straight number in writing. Our own crew brings our Caterpillar 265 skid steer and Caterpillar 305 mini excavator, takes the structure down and cleans up the site.
What affects the price
The size of the structure, what it is built from, whether it has a slab or footings, how close it is to other buildings, fences or trees and how easy it is to reach. What happens to the debris is part of the plan, and we go over it at the site visit. Machine rates start at $125 an hour for the skid steer and $135 an hour for the mini excavator.
What to sort out first
Have any power, water or gas to the structure shut off and disconnected by the right people before we start. Take out anything you want to keep. Tennessee law requires a call to Tennessee 811 (tn811.com) at least three working days before digging. Some cities and counties require a permit for demolition, so check with yours.

Common questions
Can you tear down a house?
Tell us about it. Larger demolition depends on the building and the site, so we talk it through at the site visit.
Do I need a permit to tear down a shed?
It depends on where you are. Some cities and counties require one, so check with yours before the job.
Can you grade the spot after?
Yes. Once the structure is gone and the site is cleaned up, we can grade the ground for whatever comes next.
